HOUSTON SALES LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY

The Houston Sales Leadership Community was co-founded by the University of Houston and SOAR Performance Group to create a forum for best practice sharing and executive networking within the greater Houston area.
  • The community is a cross industry organization of senior sales leaders focused on building a community within the Houston market for advancing best practices in sales leadership.
  • It also creates networking and mentoring opportunities for Houston senior sales executives with the University of Houston students participating in the Stephen Stagner Sales Excellence Institute.
  • The community is led by the advisory board with representatives from companies that represent different industries and go-to-market models.
  • In addition to the meetings that include panel discussions on sales leadership topics, the community also provides online options for participation.

The Stephen Stagner Sales Excellence Institute advances sales education and develops sales leaders through Research, Executive Education, and Degree Programs. Blending a combination of executive professors with real-world experience and PH.D research professors who are today’s leading, most widely published authors in the sales discipline.
Stephen Stagner SEI is sponsored by more than 25 corporations including 3M, Citgo, Ecolab, Liberty Mutual, Schlumberger and many others. These partners not only help fund Stephen Stagner SEI and its subsidiary organization the Program for Excellence in Selling, but also contribute to the professional development of our students by volunteering their time speaking to classes, mentoring students, and attending events/meetings. SEI blends a combination of executive professors who have at least two decades of Fortune 500 sales executive management experience and Ph.D. research professors who are today’s leading, most widely published authors in the sales discipline. In 2009-2010, researchers at Stephen Stagner SEI published more sales-related articles in top marketing journals (i.e., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research) than any other university worldwide. In recent years, over 40 universities have visited Stephen Stagner SEI in order to learn about how to establish their own sales institutes.
